probably Edward Henry GOLDSMITH, Corproal G/3257, "D" Company, 9th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action 11th (CWGC) or 11th (SDGW) June 1917. Aged 20. Born Willingdon, enlisted Haywards Heath. Son of Tom and Emily Goldsmith, of 2, Ivy Cottages, Wannock, Polegate, Sussex. No known grave. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 20.

[Known as Alec] Rifleman 5078, 3rd Battalion, Rifle brigade (The Prince Consort's Own). Died of wounds 2nd October 1915. Aged 17. Born Eastbourne, enlisted Chirchester, resident Friston. Son of Thomas James and Annie Delve Maynard, of 1, Waterworks Cottages, Friston, Eastbourne. Buried in LA BRIQUE MILITARY CEMETERY No. 2, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot I. Row H. Grave 16.

Son of James and Elizabeth Sabina Brennan; husband of Edith May Brennan, of F1, Corporation Hutments, Victoria Drive, Eastbourne. Born at Chester. Buried near the east boundary in ST ANDREW CHURCHYARD, JEVINGTON, Sussex.
