Private 12561, 1st Battalion, Grenadiers. Lived at No 15 The Green, Risby in 1915. Died 10th July, 1916 of T.B. died in Sanatorium, Rougham Road, Bury St Edmunds U.D. He was an Army Pensioner. Registered at his death as being a Police Constable and living at Police Station, Risby. His Mother in Law, Edith Tasker of 5, Hampton Cottages, Maplehurst, Sussex was with him when he died. John Victor Daniel was born in Eastwood, Adelaide, South Australia in 1886. He married in 1911 in Bury St Edmunds Florence Mary Tasker, and they had a son Victor Thomas Tasker Daniel, born 2 Nov 1913 Bury St Edmunds. However, on his WW1 service records he gives his next of kin as his mother - Alice Maud Robinson of Regents Street, Stowmarket - younger siblings: Henry, Margaret & Maud. His occupation was a Baker and he joined the Grenadier Guards in 1906.

Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 120 to 124 and 162 to 162A and 163A. The plaque was unveiled 3rd April 1921 and reads:
