The memorial can be found in St James' Church, Oundle Road, Thrapston and takes the form of wooden panels on the walls with the inscription in each section of the panelling. There are 46 names for World War 1 and 11 for World War 2. It was orginally unveiled around 1920.

SMITH	George William Kenneth	Lieutenant, No.70 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Died of wounds 22-10-18, aged 19. The above officer, after being wounded in throat, flew 30 miles and made a perfect landing at his own aerodrome. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Smith, Orchard House, Thrapston, Northamptonshire.
