The memorial is located on the external wall of Rathbone Place Mount Pleasant Sorting Office, Farringdon Road, London. It was previously located at West End Delivery Office, 35-50 Rathbone Place, Westminster, and Wimpole Street Post Office, Wimpole Street, Westminster. It takes the form of a white tablet flanked by ionic columns which support an arch; beneath the arch is a gilded wreath and sword with Latin inscription carved into stone with a plain brass plaque that has been added to the bottom with names of World War 2 dead. There are 130 names listed for World War 1 and 56 for World War 2. There is a searchable database being built of postal workers who died in World War 1 and World War 2 that is available on-line.

The actual memorial, and the plinth underneath it, are about 8 ft tall with a black tablet underneath the World War 2 memorial reading:

It was relocated to Rathbone Place in 1981
and then to this site in 2013.
