The memorial is located inside All Saints Church, Hermston and takes the form of a framed document behind glass hanging on the south wall of the nave. It lists four men killed in World War 1 and one in World War 2. Beside it hangs a British Legion standard, and beneath it is a wreath of poppies.

1914-1918
BIRKETT	William Henry	Private 42510, 1st/9th Bn. Durham Light Infantry. Killed in action 25 September 1917, age 34. Born Carlton-le-Moorland, Lincs, 1884. Son of Henry & Millicent Sophia Birkett, of Carlton-le-Moorland, near Newark. Pre-war occupation farm labourer in Harmston. Buried in Grave E.15, Heninel Communal Cemetery Extension, Pas de Calais.
FORD	Herbert	Private 436439, Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment) Division, 49th Bn. Died 29 September 1918, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, buried Drummond Cemetery, Nord, France, Grave Reference II. B. 3. Born Harmston 30 June 1891, son of William & Mary (née Acrill) Ford, family emigrated to Alberta 1910.
LONGMATE	Arthur Evison	Private 115025, 1st Bn. Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Died 22 October 1918, age 22. Born Harmston (as Arthur Longmate), pre-war occupation farm worker. Son of Joseph and Mary Ann (née Evison) Longmate of Southrey, Lincs. Buried in Grave IV.A.3, Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension, France Nord.
PORTER	Walter	Private 13525, 2nd Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 2 July 1916. Born 1894 at Cherry Willingham, Lincs, son of William & Martha Porter. Enlisted Louth, when living at Harmston, pre-war occupation farm horseman. Buried in Grave VI.D.7, Ovillers Military Cemetery, Somme.
1939-1945
JACKSON	Ernest Wilfred	Driver T/169336, Royal Army Service Corps. Died 27 June 1942, age 24. Born 3 January 1918 Lincoln , son of William and Margaret Annie (née Long) Jackson of Glassmoor, Whittlesey, Isle of Ely. In 1939 a bus driver living with parents in Harmston. Commemorated on Column 75, Alamein Memorial.
