In the church of St Radegundas Church, Grayingham, an engraved, white marble, plaque surmounted by a crucifixion carving commemorates three men killed in WW1 (one actually in the Arab Rebellion, 1920).

1914-1918

HARRISON	Fred	Private G/23132, 8th Bn. The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment), formerly Private 31820, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 30 July 1917, age 29. Born 10.6.1888, bpt 3.11.1889, Ingham, Lincs, son of Herbert & Annie Elizabeth (née Akrill) Harrison. Pre-war occupation horseman on farm. Commemorated on Panel 11-13 and 14, Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
SIMPSON	Herbert	Private 13555, D Coy. 2nd Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 9 May 1915, age 25. Born 1889/90, bpt 16.2.1890 Grayingham, son of Betsy (née Spacie) Simpson, of West Cross St, Kirton Lindsey, Lincs, and the late George Simpson. Commemorated on Panel 3, Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium.
Arab Rebellion, Iraq (Mesopotamia) 1920
DOUGLAS	Sydney (Sidney)	Private (Drummer) 3512527(2654). 2nd Bn. Manchester Regiment. Killed 24 July 1920, age 24, at Hillah, Iraq during Arab Rebellion. Born 20.2.1897 bpt 14.3.1897 Northwich, Cheshire, son of Joseph & Mary (née Flannagan) Douglas; husband of Elizabeth Foulkes Parker (née Matthews, formerly Douglas) of Kirkgate, Waltham, Grimsby, Lincs, father of Dorothy Mary Douglas. Commemorated on Panel 31 and 64, Basra Memorial, Iraq.
