The
Sheldwich memorial is in the form of a stone Celctic croos mounted on
a plinth that surmounts a two-stepped base. There are inscriptions on
the plinth. THe memorial is located in St James Churchyard, Sheldwich.
There are 27 names listed for World War 1 ordered by the year they died,
name, rank, Regiment and place of death. There are 6 names for World
War 2 listed in the same maaner as for World War 1. Some of the leteering
has fallen from the base putting the memorial at risk. The UKNIWM
have informed the War
Memorial Trust.

Hill, London. Charles has no known grave. His name appears on the
Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Leper, Belgium.
