Son of Sir Gerard Albert Muntz, Bt., and of Lady Muntz (nee Graves), of Sparsholt, Hampshire. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire. Panel 37, Column 1. Note: H.M. Submarine Regulus, Class R Submarine, pennant N 88, built by Vickers Armstrong (Barrow-in-Furness). Laid down 17th July 1929, launched 11th June 1930, commissioned 7th December 1930. HMS Regulus (Lt.Cdr. F.B. Currie, R.N.) left Alexandria to patrol in southern Adriatic on 18th November 1940. She is most likely mined on 6th December 1940 off Taranto, Italy. |
