The war memorial stands outside the church of St Firmin flanked by the Cock public house on the main road from Cranfield to Newport Pagnell. The memorial is an octgaonal Latin Cross on a plinth with a three stepped base. There are 16 names for World War 1 and three for World War 2. The memorial is now becoming worn and the letering starting to fade - could do with a some TLC.

Buried in HARINGHE (BANDAGHEM) MILITARY CEMETERY, Poperinge, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Grave I. F. 11.

[John Irvine] Corrie

Private 302030, "E" Company, Tank Corps. Killed in action at Gaza (grave states 1st) Friday 2nd November 1917. Age 27. Enlisted Bisley, Surrey. Only son of John Irvine Boswell of Crawley Grange. Formerly 1024, Honourable Artillery Company. Buried in GAZA WAR CEMETERY, Israel. Grave XXIV. D. 12. Commemorated on his father's grave in St Firmins churchyard.

GLIDEWELL, W. J., Pte., Royal Berkshire Regt. He joined in September 1916, and was quickly drafted to the Western Front, where he saw much severe fighting on the Somme, and took part in the Battles of Vimy Ridge, Lens and Amiens, and in the Retreat of 1918. Unfortunately he gallantly fell in action near Courcelles on August 23rd, 1918, and was entitled to the General Service and Victory Medals.
