The
memorial stands on the roadside outside the entrance to the church on
the thoroughfare through the village at the junction of Lane End and
Lower Way It takes the form of a tall Latin Cross made from Portland
Stone mounted on a square plinth. It cost £240 and was first unveiled
in March 1920 by Lord Cottesloe; the architects were Messrs. Rattee
& Kett Ltd. Details have appeared in the North bucks times &
County Observer 13 April 1920 and 27 May 1919. There are 13 names listed
for World War 1 and 4 names for World War 2.

of Westfiled farm, Great Brickhill. . Spent 4 years in the Bedfordshire
Yeomanry territorial Force. Note on his record states that 244 F
Cleents served all through Gallipoli & Palestine Campaigns with
the 6th Regiment, 2nd Light Horse Brigade (probaly his brother).
Buried in PIETA MILITARY CEMETERY, Malta. Plot B. Row X. Grave 1.
