It would appear that the dates of air raids were 12 August 1940, 28 August 1940, 7 September 1940, 19 October 1940, 14 November 1940, 16 November 1940, 3 March 1941, 17 April 1941, 8 July 1941, 8 September 1941, 9 November 1941, 31 October 1942, 18 January 1943, 30 January 1943, 1 June 1943.

Councillor, Marine Ward, Margate, Civilian. A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions); of 54 Holly Lane. Died at King's Head Hotel, High Street 1 June 1943. Aged 67.
BAKER Ivy Winifred
Civilian. Miss. Killed on 24 September 1940 when an enemy bomb struck an amusement arcade at 8 Tottenham Court Road, London where she was working. Aged 26.

Civilian. Mrs, of Avondale Cottage, Avondale Place, Market Street. Wife of Pte. Sidney Barron, Pioneer Corps. Died at Avondale Cottage, Avondale Place 1 June 1943. Aged 63.

Civilian. Mrs, of 85 High Street. Widow of Edward Brown. Died at 85 High Street 8 July 1941. Aged 60.

Civilian. Mrs. Wife of Bertie Amos Denham, of 66 Westfield Road. Died at 11 Fitzmary Avenue 17 April 1941. Aged 61.
DENTON John
Civilian. Baby aged 14 months; of 35 Park Place. Son of William James and Maud Denton. Died at 34 Park Place 8 September 1941.
EDWARDS William
Civilian. Mr. Husband of Elizabeth B. Edwards, of 11 Sussex Avenue, Margate. Died at Hode Farm, Bekesbourne, 12 August 1940. Aged 60. A cabinet maker by trade, had been for years employed as a handyman at a Westgate hotel. Father of Private W. J. Edwards, of the Buffs, who attended his funeral.

Civilian. Master, otherwise known as COLLARD. Foster son of Mrs. Evans, of 67 Connaught Road. Injured at Thanet Road; died same day at General Hospital 1 June 1943. Aged 14.
FABB Arthur Wilmott
Civilian. Mr, of 20 Paradise Street, Margate. Husband of Mildred E. Fabb. Died at Hode Farm, Bekesbourne 12 August 1940. Aged 51. Formerly a car proprietor he had been a waiter for three seasons at a Margate hotel.
GARDNER William Dashwood
Civilian. Mr. Lieutenant, Home Guard. Son of William Cook Gardner, of Down's Lodge, Down's Park, Herne Bay; husband of Audrey Jane Yeolanda Gardner, of 162 Canterbury Road. Injured 9 November 1941, at Margate; died at Margate 14 October 1944. Aged 56.

Civilian. Mr. Fire Guard Service; of 4 Arnold Road. Son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Garland; husband of Alice Garland. Injured 1 June 1943, at 4 Arnold Road; died at General Hospital 2 July 1943. Aged 59.
HARFORD Edith Mary
Civilian. Mrs, of 9 Audley Avenue. Widow of Henry Alwyn Harford. Died at 9 Audley Avenue 17 April 1941. Aged 54.
HAWKINS Clara
Civilian. Miss. Daughter of the late Stanley Hawkins. Died at 87 High Street 8 July 1941. Aged 61.
HOARE Edith Mary
Civilian. Mrs, of 66 Westfield Road, Birchington. Widow of William J. Hoare. Injured 18 January 1943, at Birchington died at General Hospital 19 January 1943. Aged 60.
HOLMES Margaret aka Madge
Civilian. Mrs. Killed by enemy action at Bromley, Kent on 16 April 1941. Aged 34. Formerly resident at 6 Devonshire Gardens, Cliftonville but had moved to Ebury Street, Westminster at the end of 1940.
HYDE Doris May
Civilian. Mrs, of 46 Thanet Road. Daughter of Ernest and Mary Beaney, of 12 Salmestone Rise; wife of Clarence Eveledge Hyde. Died at 46 Thanet Road 19 October 1940. Aged 41.
JACKSON Alfred James aka Jack
Civilian. Mr. Son of the late Robert R. and Nellie Louisa Jackson; husband of Lenora Jackson. Died at Manston Aerodrome 28 August 1940. Aged 44. He was the secretary of the Isle of Thanet branch of the Comrades of the Royal Air Force Association, he came from Derby. He was formerly manager of the Albert Garage, Westbrook, and well-known in Ramsgate as part-time worker on the Dumpton Park greyhound racecourse tote staff.

Civilian. Mr, of 1 Epply Villas, Margate Road, Birchington. Husband of Ethel King. Died at Hode Farm, Bekesbourne 12 August 1940. Aged 58. For a great many years a contractor at Westgate and Birchington.

Civilian. Mrs, of 26 Arthur Road, Cliftonville. Widow of Richard Kingsley. Died at 1 Clifton Gardens 14 November 1940. Aged 59.
KYLEY Kate Catherine Jane
Civilian. Mrs, of 3 Upper Dane Road. Widow of John Kyley. Died at 50 Victoria Road 31 October 1942. Aged 73.
